This isn't your father's Newport Folk band. Oh wait, maybe it is.
The Last Bison is a bit of a family affair, and yes, lead singer Ben Hardesty's Dad IS in the band, along with other members of his family, and there are non-Hardesty band members who are related to each other. (See the interview below for a band-member-run-down)
With the magnetic "Switzerland" as their calling card, the Chesapeake, Virginia band is going places. Including Fort Adams.
The Last Bison comes to Newport Folk 2013, and mvyradio will be there again, participating in NPR Music's coverage. Hear performances live from the stage on mvyradio, July 26th through 28th. And watch this space for more NFF artist previews.
