Eschewing hits for the discovering of under-appreciated gems seems like a recipe made for a Newport Folk showing.
Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Dawn McCarthy released "What The Brothers Sang," collecting a number of lesser-known Everly Brothers songs, and re-investing in the tunes. These are outstanding tunes, unearthed and brought to life once more, with an attention, but not an over-emphasis on the vocal interplay.
