New on mvyradio: Elvis Costello & The Roots

You could call it an unlikely combination, but think about it.

Elvis Costello has made records with country backing bands and R&B backing bands and string quartets and opera singers and orchestras and Burt Bacharach.

And The Roots back up musicians on all shapes, sizes and genres, in their role as the house band on Jimmy Fallon.

So maybe their union isn't unlikely.  Maybe it was inevitable.
