Newport Folk 2013: Bonnie "Prince" Billy & Dawn McCarthy

Eschewing hits for the discovering of under-appreciated gems seems like a recipe made for a Newport Folk showing.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Dawn McCarthy released "What The Brothers Sang," collecting a number of lesser-known Everly Brothers songs, and re-investing in the tunes.  These are outstanding tunes, unearthed and brought to life once more, with an attention, but not an over-emphasis on the vocal interplay.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Dawn McCarthy come to Newport Folk 2013, and mvyradio will be there again, participating in NPR Music's coverage. Hear performances live from the stage on mvyradio, July 26th through 28th. And watch this space for more NFF artist previews.
